Description
The Living Story is a drive-thru nativity experience with multiple stations, beautiful narration tracks, and live animals where the community can experience all the wonder and celebration of the birth of Jesus, without exiting their vehicle.
In 2020, we hosted the first Living Story. In just three nights, we had 1,008 vehicles through our parking lot to hear the story of the birth of Jesus! In 2021, we had 918 cars visit! This year we are excited to tell the Christmas story from a new perspective - we’ll be comparing the CHAOS of Christmas to the PEACE and LIGHT that hope in Jesus brings!
Here’s what you should know!
- The nativity is open from 5:00-7:00 pm each night.
- Enter our parking lot from E Robins Road.
- You’ll stay in your vehicle the entire time.
- Yes, we’ve got live animals!
- This experience is our gift to you and donations are not expected. If you choose to make a donation at the end of the route it will be directed to the Churches of Marion Food Pantry and FLY (Feeding Lunches to Youth).
- Bring a mobile device! We have narrations recorded and they’ll be available on our website (stmarkscr.org/livingstory) for you to listen to as you drive through our parking lot.
- Figure out where your low beams are on your vehicle! We’ll ask you to turn those on when you get here so your lights don’t blind our volunteers (or our animals!)
- This is a free event for all.
