Winter Fun and Activities In and Around Cedar Rapids

Are you looking for fun and affordable ways to enjoy winter in Cedar Rapids? You can always check the Macaroni KID Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area. We have also rounded up some great winter activities that are budget-friendly and fun!

Free Outdoor Ice Skating
This outdoor ice skating rink is free and open to the public. Located at Hughes Park Basketball Court 2100 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids. This rink is open for recreational use all day, as long as weather conditions permit, and is not supervised.


Snowshoeing
Visit Indian Creek Nature Center (5300 Otis Road SE, Cedar Rapids) when there is five or more inches of snow cover and you can rent snowshoes for just $8 to $12 per person. 


Cross-Country Skiing
Enjoy cross-country ski trails:
