I started Macaroni KID Cedar Rapids back in October of 2010, and the following year, in 2011, I expanded and launched Iowa City. Over the first years, Iowa City had grown in so many wonderful ways, and I felt that passing the torch to someone more local was the right decision at the time. While we’ve had some great publishers in the Iowa City area, it has been heartbreaking to see the site not consistently reach families with the valuable resources they deserve.
That’s why I’ve decided to merge both the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City sites into one powerful hub for all things family in the Corridor. This new format will allow us to provide even more robust content, connecting families with events and activities from Cedar Rapids to Iowa City and everywhere in between.
