Who doesn’t love to travel? My family loves going to new places to explore. But with summer camps, work, visiting guests, and the surprise of our dryer and car needing repaired at the same time, sometimes traveling abroad doesn’t fit the budget. Hey- that doesn’t stop us from traveling close by though! We have had some pretty fun “stay-cations” right here in Cedar Rapids. For instance, I have lived here for almost 9 years and I had never toured the Brucemore Mansion. I know right? We did finally get there recently - loved it! I had no idea how much fun history it had to offer. Now we can cross another item off of our summer boredom buster list. There are a few local favorites that we will re-visit, and new places we can’t wait to check out. Bobbers in North Liberty for example. Had no idea that even existed! Who wants to go with us? As you see, new local adventures are on our summer boredom buster list and this is why I was so excited to hear about U.S. Cellular’s #MyAnywhere photo contest. Now I am even more excited to get going … “anywhere.”.
The #MyAnywhere photo contest is fun and super easy. Whether you are traveling to Adventureland in Des Moines, The Wisconsin Dells or a local visit to Usher’s Ferry, U.S. Cellular is encouraging us all to share photos of our “anywhere” on social media. Not going anywhere? How about those lazy hammock days in your backyard or a BBQ at the neighbors? If life is happening, memories are being made, so let's show U.S. Cellular our fun summer memories. We all take pictures everyday - why not try and win while sharing? So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start capturing your “anywhere”!
To capture these moments, smartphone users can share photos of their “anywhere” on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using #MyAnywhere and tagging @uscellular through June 26 for the chance to win weekly prizes and a grand prize trip for four to anywhere in the United States. Select photos from the contest may be used in U.S. Cellular TV advertising launching later in 2016. The grand prize winner will be announced the week of July 4.
