Oh am I excited to share this with you! I have been in the market for a new skillet for awhile now and when I was asked to review the brand new Cuisinart CastLite Cast Iron Skillet I jumped on it! I always look for a few things before buying any cookware.
1. Is it dishwasher safe?
2. Is it induction-ready? ( I have an induction cook top)
3. Will it scratch my cook top?
4. Is it well made and the right size?
Yes, Yes, Yes and YES!
Let me tell you a little bit about this beauty!! As you know, I love to cook. So I could not wait to dive in. Honestly, they already had me at Induction-ready & dishwasher safe and bonus win was lightweight cast-iron. What? How is that possible. Well it sure is. This skillet weighs half of my great grandmas cast iron, heats evenly and this one doesn't scratch my cook top! The porcelain enamel coated exterior is durable and the non-stick surface on the inside is top notch. Love the handle too, not awkward or flimsy.
True test? My kids favorite .. "Dads Sunday Pancakes". They came out perfect, fluffy, even color and no sticking!!
I can not wait to try some more of my recipes in my new love... the Cuisinart CastLite Skillet. 2 thumbs up! The only hard decision you will have is choosing red or blue.
