This is a great craft for Cinco de Mayo and so much to play with when finished! Also, it's a fantastic way to use up some of those plastic eggs that may still be lying around!
What you need:
*left over plastic Easter Eggs
*box cutter or exacto knife (for adult use only)
*glue gun
*craft stick/popsicle stick
*dry beans or rice
*stickers for decoration
What you do:
*Adults: use box cutter or exacto knife to cut a small slot in the bottom of the egg just big enough to put the craft stick into. It's actually better if it's a "smidge" too small so that it's a tight fit.
*Insert the stick about an inch or so into the egg.
*Put some hot glue on the inside of the egg around the craft stick and allow to dry completely. (about 15min)
*Pour some beans into the egg and glue shut (a small amount of hot glue around the edge will work great and dry in just a couple of minutes).
*Decorate the outside of the egg with stickers.
*Shake and have fun!
