Macaroni Kid Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are publications reaching thousands of families in Eastern Iowa - with that number growing every day. We are proud to offer parents a free, one-stop shop filled with all the events and activities that the Corridor has to offer. After having numerous parents ask us about seasonal camp options, we decided to create a yearly resource for parents where they can see the best of what is available and feel confident about where they spend their money and send their children.
Be sure to check back often as camps will be continually added through the summer. We hope that you find our Summer Camp Directory to be a valuable resource as you plan your children's adventures this summer. As always, please call ahead before visiting any event or venue as things can change without our knowledge.

Join the fun at Camp Tanager this summer at one of their exciting themed Day Camp Programs! Weekly Sessions begin Monday, June 10 and run until Friday, August 9. Choose from the following awesome camp themes: Aloha Summer, Jedi Training Camp, H2-WHOA!, Stars & Stripes, OOPY GOOPY, Backyard Bash, CSI Camp, Hogwart's Adventure and Zombie NERF Week. Day Camps start at $190 per week with additional discounts for multi-camper and multi-week signups. Early Drop Off, Late Pick-Up and Overnight Options are available.campmail@tanagerplace.org

Art Summer Camps at iCCGS located in the heart of NewBo in Cedar Rapids
The Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio is entering our 10th year of providing Art Education through our Summer Camp Program! For 2019, we are offering almost 50 different Summer Camps/Workshops! Our multi-day Summer Camps are intended to provide a variety of Ceramic and Warm Glass education--with multiple projects created at the end of each session. Our Multi-Day Summer Camps are divided among the age groups: 5-8, 8-11 and 11-15+. Cost is $55-$100 per multi-day camp. We also offer a large variety of project-based One-Day Summer Workshops for ages 7-17. In these Summer Workshops, one project is created in a 2-hour session. Cost is $22 per person. Investigate the mystery of the missing artifact! Oh no! The History Center is missing an important artifact! Calling all adventure seekers and History Detectives! Participants will piece together clues, examine artifacts, and investigate the mystery of the lost artifact! The Jefferson Jr. J-Hawk Poms program is committed to the growth and development of young dancers aspiring to one day be on the Jefferson Poms. Dancers will learn the basic fundamentals of dance in a safe and nurturing environment. A sense of accomplishment and pride will be felt during their many community appearances and performance opportunities. The Intensive: August 10th & 11th, 2019
The Intensive is back by popular demand! Each August, incredible choreographers from all over the United States are flown in for a weekend full of quality technical training, choreography that challenges dancers mentally and physically, and most of all fun! Guest Choreographers with diverse backgrounds and superior credentials open dancer's minds to different adaptations of movement and provides a safe environment for them to explore and express the emotional component of dance.
Help us stuff the truck with NEW school supplies for local students in need! All of the supplies will be given out at our Back 2 School Bash & Expo - 7th Annual! event and any supplies that are leftover will be donated to The Teacher Store to get supplies to our local teachers! Turning Camp: July 29-August 1, 2019
Our Summer Turning Camp will emphasize technique, flexibility, and coordination while introducing students to more advanced turning skills. We will go well beyond pirouettes in this jam-packed camp!
Students will be placed in the appropriate workshop based on their level allowing all students to feel challenged and supported. A great option for students wanting to take their technique to the next level.

Summit Schools offers themed, academic, recreation and STEAM-based camps for grades PreK-8th grade June 10-August 2, 2019.
Summit offers academic summer camps in reading and math, the fun and popular Healthy and Lifestyles Recreation camps, along with weekly morning and afternoon themed camps aimed to keep your child(ren) thinking critically and problem-solving while still having a blast! NEW in 2019: STEAM “Summer Challenge Camps” in partnership with NewBoCo for grades 2-8. Summit’s camps are taught by experienced teachers and classes are kept small to provide an optimum learning environment. Summit’s summer camps are known in the community for their high-quality programming. Families can mix and match summer camps based on their child's interests and needs. Registration for camps is open until the Thursday before the camp begins (space permitting).
