I am still trying to take in our awesome Family Fun day and Xmas Expo last Saturday. I knew we would be busy, but not that busy! It was so incredible to see so many happy kids and families enjoying themselves at the Westdale Mall. A few of you have told me that they have not been to the Westdale Mall when it was that busy in many many years! I don't think the mall knew what hit them! ;)
We raised $653 for Cookies for Kids Cancer!!! I would like to take this time to thank everyone who helped with the bake sale. With out YOU, this bake sale would not have gone so well. Such an amazing experience for me to be able to host this bake sale and meet so many wonderful and generous people in our community. We did have some left overs from our sale. So what do you do with left over cookies from a Cookies for Kids' Cancer Bake Sale? Lindsey, our MK Ad Rep and who works at the U of I Hospital in Iowa City, took them to the pediatric oncology floor for little patients and families. Made so many smiling faces. I don't think they could have went to a better place. Macaroni Kid is going to have at least one of these bake sales every year, so be sure to keep an eye out for us!
