The 32nd annual Holiday DeLight Parade, a signature part of the annual Fire & Ice Festival produced by the Cedar Rapids Metro EconomicAlliance, is right around the corner. The festival and parade are being held this year on Dec. 5 in downtown Cedar Rapids. The parade will step off at 6 p.m.

Applications are available at www.cedarrapids.org/FireandIce and all entries received prior to Nov. 13 will receive a discount on their entry fee ($25 for non-profits, $45 for commercial entries). Entries received after that date will be charged $35 for non-profits and $55 for commercial entries.

New this year to the Fire & Ice Festival is the “Not So Silent Night” Caroling Competition. The competition will be held from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Music lovers of all kinds are invited to sing holiday favorites in this low-pressure entertainment feature. Spread throughout Fire & Ice Festival grounds, groups are encouraged to interact with the crowds walking by, while they carol tunes of their choosing from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Winners will be chosen through audience participation.
